The Restaurant Waiter Analogy
You (the app) want food (an AI response). The API is the waiter — you give your order (your prompt), it goes to the kitchen (the AI model) and brings back your meal (the polished result). The API Key is your reservation confirmation — it proves you're allowed to order.
How to Get Your Keys
- Gemini Key: Google AI Studio (free).
- OpenAI Key: OpenAI Dashboard.
- Anthropic Key: Anthropic Console.

Welcome to Zoey Prompts
Zoey Prompts helps you write better instructions for AI coding tools like Lovable, Claude Code, and Antigravity. A clear, well-structured prompt gets you working code on the first try — this app checks and improves your prompt before you spend AI credits.
Write your idea
Go to the Workspace and type what you want built or fixed, in your own words.
Follow the suggestions
The panel on the right points out what's missing. Answer and click Apply — watch your Quality Score climb.
Polish and copy
Click Auto-Polish or AI Rewrite, then Copy into your AI coding tool.
Workspace
Your main screen. As you type it live-checks your prompt: Quality Score, Suggestions with one-click Apply, an Architecture Map, and a Target Agent selector.
Auto-Polish vs AI Rewrite
- Auto-Polish (Local) — instant, rule-based, free and unlimited.
- AI Rewrite (Pro) — a real AI rewrites your draft; uses your plan's allowance.
Templates
Ready-made prompt skeletons. Click one to load it, then replace the [bracketed placeholders].
Stack Guide
A visual reference of tools modern apps use and how they connect, with setup steps. Tools in your prompt are marked Active.
Projects & Planning New
A full planning suite for each build: a detailed Plan (stack, features, pages, data, integrations, design, guardrails), a Roadmap of build steps you can open straight in the Workspace, and a Task checklist with progress. Start from a template, and everything syncs across your devices when you're signed in. Pick a project in the Workspace and every prompt is tailored to it.
Community Prompt Gallery
Browse high-performing prompts published by the community. Filter by category, Use one to load it into your Workspace, Copy it, or grab a share link. Publish your own polished prompts too.
Extensions
Use Zoey Prompts inside Chrome and VS Code with your premium API key. Download them from the Extensions tab here.
API Settings Optional
Power users can paste their own OpenAI/Anthropic key so AI rewrites run on their account. Skip it if unsure — everything works without it.
Browse & filter
Open the Community Prompt Gallery and use the category filters (Feature, Bug Fix, Refactor, Design, Other) to find prompts shared by other users.
Use or Copy
Use loads the prompt into your Workspace so you can tweak and re-score it; Copy drops it straight onto your clipboard; the link icon shares a public link to that prompt.
Publish your own
Polish a prompt in the Workspace, click Publish, give it a title and category. You'll need to be signed in — it then appears in the gallery for everyone.
Instead of re-typing your stack and rules into every prompt, describe your project once. Zoey Prompts then injects that plan into each optimization, so the polished prompt already knows your tech stack, your features, and your guardrails.
Create a project
Open Projects and click New. Give it a name like “Client Booking App” — or start from a template (SaaS app, landing page, mobile app, Chrome extension) to pre-fill the plan.
Fill in the plan, roadmap & tasks
Use the sub-tabs: Plan (overview, stack, features, pages, data, integrations, design, constraints), Roadmap (ordered build steps), and Tasks (a checklist). Your progress bar fills as you go.
Select it in the Workspace
Back in the Workspace, choose your project from the Project dropdown at the top. A banner confirms prompts are being tailored to it — and you can send a roadmap step straight to the Workspace with Open in Workspace.
Optimize as usual
Write your request and hit Auto-Polish or AI Rewrite. The output follows your project's plan automatically — no more random stacks. Signed in, everything syncs across your devices.
What goes in a project plan?
- Overview & Goals — what the app is, who it's for, what success looks like.
- Tech Stack — “Next.js, Supabase, Tailwind.” This is what stops prompts using a random stack.
- Features, Pages & Data — the main things it must do, the screens, and the data it stores.
- Integrations — third-party services and APIs it connects to.
- Design & UX — brand, colours, tone, layout preferences.
- Constraints — guardrails like “don't change the auth flow.”
Prefer to think in steps? Add them to the Roadmap and check off Tasks — the current build step is included in your optimized prompts too.

The 30-second recipe for a great prompt
- Say what to build or fix in one sentence.
- Name your tech stack — "React, Supabase, Tailwind."
- Describe what done looks like.
- Add constraints — "don't change other pages."
- Watch the Quality Score climb, then Copy.
